Our
History...
In the fall of 2002, a
little ad appeared in the newspaper, inviting anyone with an interest in
starting a saddle club to meet at the fairgrounds. A handful of
people showed up prompting the placement of another ad and another
meeting.
After several
meetings on the hard benches at the Moniteau County fairground, a club was born.
Our official launch date was in 2003 at which time we also filed for
non-profit status.
Since then, we have
grown to serve our surrounding communities as Central Missouri's
Premiere Saddle Club. On average we have about 50 Families on our
membership roster.
As a club, we have
horse shows, trail rides, & equine educational seminars. We also
help out with parking cars by horseback at the rodeo and county fair, in
addition to riding in local and area parades. We also contribute to the Food Pantry Drive, we assist each year with a
Habitat for Humanity house, and we sponsor a St. Jude Children's
Hospital Benefit Trail Ride.
