 Come
and enjoy a lovely trail ride across the Mid-Missouri
countryside.
Our ride will consist of mixed Missouri terrain, including some
country roads and rich Moniteau county farmland. Our cross-country trek will take us through diverse stands of
hardwoods, pines, and cedar. Our travels will also find us
crossing tranquil babbling brooks.
A Springtime
ride means the landscape will be painted with pink and white blossoms of redbuds and the famous
Missouri dogwoods. This area is also known for deer, turkey, squirrels, a
wide variety of birds, and other wildlife. Therefore we may even
encounter a
surprise or two along the way.
Not only will you enjoy the the
scenic beauty of the landscape across the countryside and
experience the
peacefulness and tranquility of the land on this cross-country wilderness trail ride with your trusty
steed, you will also be showing your support and
benefiting the children of St Jude's.
More Trail Ride Details
Our ride will consist of approximately 12
miles, starting at 10 a.m. and ending between 3 - 4 p.m.
It will be about 50-50 country road and private
property. Our private property trek will consist of meadows,
farmland, brooks, forests, and a long forgotten country
road. Most of the ride will be wide enough to ride 2 or more
wide, therefore making this the perfect ride to bring all your
friends and laugh and visit - to catch up on old times & to make
new memories, all the while enjoying your trusty steed.
At about noon, we will arrive at a beautiful secluded lake, where
everyone can eat their own saddle bag lunch. There will be
plenty of room to tie up and spread out to enjoy your lunch, enjoy the
fellowship, and enjoy the fresh clean country air. There
will be a designated truck at registration,
where you can load your coolers if you
do not want to pack a saddle bag. There will be straw bales
available that you can use to sit on.
We will also have a truck & trailer at the
lunch break to bring back those riders who wish to return to
camp.
A port-a-potty will also be available at the
lunch break.

No Alcohol - No Alcohol of any
kind is permitted on the Trail
Ride.

Signed Participation Waiver Required

Children under the age of 18 must be
accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and are
encouraged to wear a helmet.

No dogs on the trail, and must be on a
leash in camp.

No Stallions
-
Please put red ribbons on horses known
to kick.

Please ride responsibly.
Although you may be an accomplished horseperson, there
may be green horses or riders on the trail. Please use
caution, and please use respect when passing.

Please stay with the group on the
trail ride. Our gracious landowner has given
permission to cross their private property, so please
stay with the group and stay on the designated trail.

Please be respectful of the city and
private landowners property.

Please do not litter.

Please Pre-Register if Possible, and
please RSVP for supper if possible. This is the
only way we will have a head count for supper so we
can make sure we have enough food.

Augusts 28, 2002 - 2. Except as provided in subsection 4 of
this section, an equine activity sponsor, an equine professional or any
other person or corporation shall not be liable for an injury to or the
death of a participant resulting from the inherent risks of equine
activities and, except as provided in subsection 4 of this section, no
participant or a participant's representative shall make any claim
against, maintain an action against, or recover from an equine activity
sponsor, an equine professional, or any other person from injury, loss,
damage or death of the participant resulting from any of the inherent
risks of equine activities
